after the leader Knights of the Midnight Sun, a man prophesied to bring humanity into a new era, Le'garde is captured by the kingdom of Rondon and imprisioned in the dungeons of fear and hunger 4 unlucky adventurers embark on their own journeys find him.
Cahara "The Mercenary"
he received assignment from the kingdom of Rondon to remove the captain Le'garde from the dungeons of fear and hunger for a handsome reward. despite the darkness that waited for him he took the assignment in hopes that he could gather enough money to buy the freedom of his lover Celeste
D'arce "The Knight"
after the defeat of the Knights of the Midnight Sun by the kingdom of Rondon she finds out about the capture of her captain (and love interest) Le'garde and his subsequent imprisonment in the dungeons of fear and hunger she sets out to find and rescue him from the dungeons
Enki "The Dark Preist"
after a failure on his journey to enlightenment he recived a vision from the gods of Le'garde, a man propheticed to bring the world into a new era and is told to go to the dungeons of fear and hunger to find him and learn more about this prophecy surrounding
him
Ragnvaldr "The Outlander"
after the invasion of Oldegård and the massacare of the people of his village (including his own family) by the captain Le'garde and the Knights of the Midnight Sun Ragnvalder goes to the dungeons of fear and hunger seeking revenge on Le'garde for the death and suffering he caused the people of Oldegård
special playable characters: "Marriage" and "Abominable Marriage" theses characters can be played as after preforming the ritual Marriage of Flesh with another party member. the ritual can only be preformed by the player character and Chahara, D'arce (unless playing as Enki), Enki, Ragnvaldr (unless playing as Enki), or ghouls and can be done by choosing the "show love" option on a ritual circle. if you are already playing as a Marriage you can preform the ritual once again to become an "Abominable Marriage" but this can only be done with a ghoul as every other potential partner will refuse
